Mobilizing for Action!
Stu and I just met at the crack of dawn for a brainstorming session. I made a pot of extra strong Bustelo coffee, and Stu brought bagels and strawberry cream cheese. We specifically worked on a presentation that Stu is giving at a national conference in October in Nashville.
In the meantime, we have new opportunities at our doorstep.
Just this week, Taylor, one of our partners at the IU13 Refugee Center, asked if we could provide 10-15 laptops for a special project at the Hazel Jackson Middle School in Lancaster City. She is working on offering a Digital Literacy Class for Parents. Taylor and I are starting to discuss details.
Meanwhile, the tragic news coming out of Afghanistan has gripped our attention. As we speak, Church World Service is gearing up to receive refugees, many of whom are likely to come to Lancaster.
We at Computers for Refugees have been blessed to receive several donations of laptops and tablets just in the past week. Yesterday, Charlie took three laptops to get ready. As we speak, I’m resetting a Surface tablet.
We can use the following:
Laptops
Mice
Webcams
Speakers
Financial donations.
Thanks for your support as we mobilize for action.
